LHWCA case law database now available online ... for free!

For years the Benefits Review Board's website provided cases by date issued. This made it highly impractical to search for opinions on specific legal topics. That has changed -- the Labor Department now offers a searchable database of cases decided under the Longshore & Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (LHWCA). Paste this link in your browser to find the site and then check the "Longshore" box to search:


The site offers typical search engine functionality and simple Boolean searches. The database includes published and unpublished opinions from ALJs, the BRB, and courts of appeal.
